Sand & Foot Care Post-Walk Stretches Timer

Sand works your feet harder than a flat path, so give them a proper cool-down. This guided timer walks you through eight gentle stretches, one at a time, in about five minutes.

Press Start and the timer moves through the eight stretches on its own. Use Next and Previous to skip or repeat a step, and Pause whenever you need a breather.

Stretch 1 of 8 — Toe Spread: Spread your toes wide apart, hold, then relax.

Stretch 1 of 8 · Total routine about 5 minutes

  1. Toe Spread — 30 seconds
  2. Arch Roll — 45 seconds
  3. Calf Stretch — 60 seconds
  4. Ankle Circles — 30 seconds
  5. Heel Raises — 30 seconds
  6. Toe Curls — 30 seconds
  7. Big-Toe Stretch — 45 seconds
  8. Foot Flex and Point — 30 seconds

How it works

The routine runs for 300 seconds in total: 30 + 45 + 60 + 30 + 30 + 30 + 45 + 30. Each stretch has its own countdown, and when one finishes the next begins automatically, so you can keep your eyes on your feet rather than on the controls. The timer uses a single interval at a time, so pressing Start twice cannot run two timers at once.

Every stretch is meant to feel like a gentle pull, never sharp pain. Sand walking loads the arches, calves and small foot muscles more than pavement walking does, which is why the routine covers toe mobility, the arch, the calf and the ankle rather than just one area.

How to use your result

Do the routine seated or standing near something sturdy to hold, on a clean, dry surface, after brushing sand off your feet. If a stretch hurts, skip it with Next and try it more gently another day. Stop and rest if you feel sharp pain, swelling, or a hot spot that could be a blister forming, and check your feet for cuts or blisters after a barefoot walk.
